When restoration is not possible, the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara makes every effort to enhance the neighborhood through new construction. In 2002, an older and much deteriorated single-family house was torn down to make room for this beautiful tri-plex. The architectural style is a thoughtful blend of elements that incorporate Santa Barbara's classic red-tiled offing and modern design elements.
